In October of 2023 I applied for an Artist residency in France at this fabulous chateau. Without even reading a ton about it, I quickly applied and figured why not? Six months later I was notified that I was accepted! Oh hell YES! Now here we are in 2025 and I will be heading to France for my 2-week residency September 1st till the 14th. Needless to say this is very exciting and I anticipate that this will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The artist & writers residency was founded in 2017 in an area of France called Champagne-Ardenne. It is ranked as one of the top 10 most beautiful residencies in the world. Pinch me!! I am beyond honored to have been accepted.
For two weeks, up to 30 artists and writers from around the world will gather at the chateau to work, explore, exchange ideas, collaborate and engage with a diverse group of artists and have fun in doing so! The Chateau will be our home and our studio for the entire two weeks. Private bedrooms, private art studios and salons are all under the same roof plus 2 guest houses
Co-founders of the residency program are Ziggy Attias and Beulah Van Rensburg. Ziggy is internationally known as an Artist, Designer, Entrepreneur and Award-winning filmmaker. Beulah is a working artist and founded Van Rensburg Gallery in New York, Hong Kong and Australia. While the gallery operates under new ownership, she remains on the curatorial board.
